From Rudy Giuliani, at the GOP Convention last night:
….terrorists learned they could intimidate the world community and too often the response, particularly in Europe, was “accommodation, appeasement and compromise.”
And worse the terrorists also learned that their cause would be taken more seriously, almost in direct proportion to the barbarity of the attack.
Terrorist acts became [...]
In 1971, John Kerry and Vietnam Veterans Against the War published a book entitled “The New Soldier”.
Today, you will not find a copy at your local Barnes & Noble. Nor in your local library. The only place you will find one will be on eBay, for upwards of $500. No new copies are being printed [...]
Idiotarian quote of the day – August 26, 2004
0 Comments Published by Sean August 26th, 2004 in UncategorizedIf you’ve seen Fahrenheit 9/11, you’ve been exposed to Michael Moore’s line that he supports the men, but not the mission. This quote – still up at his web site – seems to paint a different picture of the situation:
“The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not “insurgents” or “terrorists” or “The [...]
Idiotarian quote of the day – August 24th, 2004
4 Comments Published by Sean August 24th, 2004 in UncategorizedIndisputable proof that Noam Chomsky has never lived under a dictatorship:
“Any dictator would admire the uniformity and obedience of the U.S. media.”
– Noam Chomsky
My first quote apparently needs some refuting. It states (from Ted Rall):
“American troops occupying Iraq have become virtually indistinguishable from the SS. Like the Germans during World War II, they cordon off and bomb civilian villages to retaliate for guerilla attacks on their convoys. Like the blackshirts who terrorized Europe, America’s victims disappear into hellish [...]
Idiotarian quote of the day – August 23rd, 2004
1 Comment Published by Sean August 23rd, 2004 in UncategorizedI don’t need facts to know that I’m right, and nothing you tell me will ever change my mind. War in Iraq is wrong. Bush is wrong. I know I’m right because everyone around me agrees with me on this, and you should too. Everything this [Bush] administration has done should be viewed as part [...]
I am now proud to introduce a new, daily addition to Sound Off: The Idiotarian Quote of the Day. The quotes will be from prominent idiotarians (Noam Chomsky, Michael Moore, Ralph Nader, etc.), idiotarian organizations (International A.N.S.W.E.R., Independent Media Center, United for Peace and Justice, etc.), or even random, unknown protestors/commentators/bloggers.
I would like to begin [...]
Yesterday I referred to Cynthia McKinney as a “racist simpleton”. Upon further review, I realize that I was in error, and should not have referred to Ms. McKinney in such a fashion. She is not a racist.
She is, however, hypocritical, ignorant, and – at least to some – anti-Semitic (as is her father). She preys [...]
I subscribe to FactCheck.org’s e-mail list. They’re a nonpartisan group run by the renowned Annenberg Public Policy Center in Washington. They’re great at cutting through the crap and presenting the facts.
One of their recent messages got my attention:
A Bush-Cheney ‘04 ad released Aug. 13 accuses Kerry of being absent for 76% of the Senate Intelligence [...]
(Local news) Cambell gets what’s coming to him
3 Comments Published by Sean August 16th, 2004 in UncategorizedFormer Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell is crying “witch hunt” as he faces some long overdue corruption charges from the feds. It’s about damn time.
Everyone who lives or works in/near Atlanta knows this guy was – and probably still is – a complete slimeball. The fact that he served two terms as Atlanta’s Mayor, combined [...]
