Praing for snow

From North Georgia College and State University Student Affairs:

It has been brought to our attention that snow has been forecast for Friday morning, the first day of final examinations. Should it become necessary to close the university for part or all of that day, the following procedures will apply:

1. Any examinations scheduled for Friday, December 9 that are cancelled due to inclement weather will automatically be rescheduled for the same time period on Wednesday, December 14.

2. If the university is closed for Friday morning only, then ONLY the morning examinations will be rescheduled for Wednesday, December 14. Afternoon exams will be administered as scheduled.

3. Instructors are urged to take into account that students commuting from counties in extreme northern Georgia may experience significantly more sever weather than what we have in Dahlonega. Students in that situation should be given special consideration.

4. Regardless of changes in the examination schedule, grades will still be due at 12:00 NOON on Thursday, December 15. This is necessary because the Registrar’s Office will need time to process grades for seniors participating in commencement on Saturday, December 17.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation in this matter.
