I just overheard Keith Olbermann state that (I’m paraphrasing) “President Bush said in his speech last night that mistakes had been made in Iraq, but he didn’t say ‘I made mistakes in Iraq’”.

I suppose that no, strictly speaking, he didn’t speak those exact words. What he did say was this:

The situation in Iraq is unacceptable to the American people and it is unacceptable to me. Our troops in Iraq have fought bravely. They have done everything we have asked them to do. Where mistakes have been made, the responsibility rests with me. [emphasis added]

So, Keith… the next time you want to hurl an irrelevant accusation at the Commander in Chief about a speech he made, you might try reading the damn thing first.

Or you could keep up your habit of being one of the most inept and obtuse TV personalities on the air. Those of us who are actually paying attention (and not getting paid for it, as are you, I might add) will be missing nothing.
