Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spoke at Columbia University yesterday. Groups such as the National Organization of Women and the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation staged large-scale protests, denouncing Iran’s deplorable human rights record with respect to women, gays and lesbians.
